The Fair will take place on April 18, 19 and 20 at the former Public Market of La Union, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., coinciding with the Semana Santa Minera .

As one of the main novelties in this edition, a collaboration agreement has been signed with the National Organization of the Spanish Blind (ONCE) and will have a mineral space suitable for blind or visually impaired people.
This year, among the most outstanding mineralogical elements, for its novelty stand out blue barite, rutile and amethyst quartz type Cathedral.
In the section dedicated to fossils, you can see the life-size reproduction of a mandible of a 'Carcharodon Megalodon', the giant shark that could reach up to 120 meters in size, and that went extinct just over three million years ago .
This reproduction was already exhibited in 2013, but given its success it is shown again.
During the Fair, a series of competitions are held, such as the photography of Mining Landscapes of the Sierra de La Union and awards will be given to the best decorated space in the exhibition, the best native mineral, the best foreign mineral, and the traditional raffle of a mineral among visitors.
The Minerals and Fossils Fair of La Unión was born in 1997 as a Seminar of the Sierra Minera, to become the next year a show.
The objective of this initiative is to show the historical and mining heritage of the Sierra de Cartagena-La Union, as well as to boost the commerce and hostelry of the Unionense municipality.
