The eighth day of the International Festival of Cante de la Minas was moved to the Casa del Piñón to enjoy an afternoon dedicated to the filmmaker Juan Manuel Chumilla-Carbajosa.
"The Promised Hell" was the first feature film by Chumilla-Carbajosa in which actors of the stature of Ginés García Millán participated.
A story that tells the story of a contemporary Orfeo.
A journey in search of water between myth and everyday life that was recorded almost entirely in the Sierra Minera de La Union.
The day began at 7:30 p.m. with the "premiere" pass of the movie "The Promised Hell".
This film was shot almost entirely in the municipality of La Union and the screening was made to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the filming of it.
We could see a proud Chumilla-Carbajosa, excited and grateful to his mother and all the special guests that accompanied him: Ginés García Millán, Cesare Apolito, Ángel Haro, Paco Salinas, Marcos Salvador Romera, Ángel Montiel, Salvador Martínez and Esmeralda Gran .
After finishing this screening, the protagonist of the afternoon, Juan Manuel Chumilla-Carbajosa, was handed the "Pencho Cros a los Audiovisuales".
In this way the Cante de las Minas Foundation recognizes this director his great career and the interest shown by the municipality of La Union, its landscapes and its customs.
