In the early hours of the morning, the official awards of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas were given to some of the shops in La Unión.

This delivery of trophies has already become a tradition.

Days before the beginning of the Festival, some of the shops in the municipality are chosen, in a random and rotating manner, to display these awards in order to unite the Festival and Flamenco with different stores in the municipality and encourage local commerce.

In addition, all the people who so wish can approach these points to see first hand the prestigious awards of one of the most important flamenco events in the world.

As highlighted by Pedro López Milán, President of the Cante de las Minas Foundation and Mayor of La Unión, "this is an act that is carried out so that visitors and citizens of La Unión can see the trophies that are awarded at the end of day 11 August is a way to revitalize the trade and expose, all those shops that are willing to give a flamenco touch to their windows, the priceless trophies.

This year the people in charge of showing off the prizes will be nine.

The trade Soto Opticians has received the Cathedral of Cante prize, Mar de Caprichos receives the Red the Alpargatero, the Pencho Cros prize goes to the 2001 Sport trade, the photo shop Jayam will wear the Asensio Sáez, Electrodomésticos Huertas obtains the Marino Trovero, Watchmaking Jewelry Soto obtains the Filón Prize, the Bordón Minero goes to the Atrezzo store, the two Prizes Desplante receives Trendy Wear and, finally, the most prestigious trophy of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas, the Mining Lamp, will shine in the Flori Guerrero Gifts window.

The Festival will be held from August 1 to 11 and the semifinals of the contest will be held from 8 to 10 in the Old Public Market.

The Cante de las Minas Foundation will assign a jury that will qualify for these tests that will finally award the Lámpara Minera, Bordón, Desplante and Filón awards, prizes to be awarded on the night of August 11.
