The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, President of the Sailing Federation of the Region of Murcia, Pedro Román, and the President of the Club Náutico Portman, Isaac Calventus Blas, presented the Regatta Cartagena Portman '150 Anniversary of the Union 'Mercury Group II Trophy to be held on 5 and 6 June.
Cartagena-Portman Regatta this year takes the name of "150 Anniversary of the Union 'in homage to the event being held in the town in 2010, the year which marks the 150 anniversary of the establishment of the municipality.
The Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, said "the pride of our city that Portman and yacht club hosting this important test."
This sporting event, open to certified cruise RI 2010, consists of two stages: Saturday 5, Cartagena - Portman - Cartagena, and Sunday 6, Cartagena - Isla de las Palomas.
After completion of the second stage, will be the awards ceremony.
The organization forecasts estimate that 30 participants will take part in this test.
The registration form can be downloaded from the website of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation (www.rfev.es) and must be submitted to Club Náutico Portman (fax: 868 104 514 - Email: clubnauticoportman@hotmail.com).
The Regatta Cartagena - Portman is organized by the Yacht Club and the Royal Portman Spanish Sailing Federation in collaboration with the City Council of the Union and the Sailing Federation of the Region of Murcia, among others, and the sponsorship of the Mercury Group.
The Regatta Cartagena - Portman is part of the Cruise Cup Spain Murcia RI area.
