The Governing Council has approved a total of 1,617,008 euros to improve road safety at the entrances to the industrial zone The Bolarín, La Union.
The performance includes the management of access to this industrial area by constructing a roundabout at the intersection of roads MR-F40 (from the Union to the Camachos) and MR-F41 (from La Union to the hamlet of Roche), in its connection with the polygon.
The new road infrastructure will consist of two lanes of 4.25 meters, berms and sidewalks for two meters.
It will install a new lighting and horizontal and vertical signaling, as well as the beacon for the entire section under performance.
The roundabout, which will have an outer diameter of 59 meters, has five entrances: from Los Camachos, the southern area of the polygon, the north, from Roche, and from the street Murcia, which connects to the center of La Union .
These works will reduce the risk of accidents in a confluence zone that records high traffic intensity derived from the industrial area, with circulation of over 3.8 million vehicles a year, of which 365,000 are heavy.
