The works for the construction of the boulevard one-Cartagena La Union have already begun.
The start of work has received the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, Infrastructure and Councillors of Municipalities of La Union and Cartagena, Carlos Vicente Martínez and José Albaladejo, respectively.
The stretch of the boulevard a Union-Cartagena consists of a mile from the Place de la Esperanza (junction with Portman Road) and the rotunda of the Municipal Sports Union.
This project includes the construction of a bike lane that will connect with the existing Royal Street, and the provision of new lighting and sidewalks.
The cost of the project amounts to 150,000 euros by the Plan E.
It may be recalled that last April opened to traffic on the boulevard section zero-Cartagena La Union between the new roundabout located at the cemetery of La Union and access to the main street of the town.
The project involved the comprehensive renewal of the asphalt road and the construction of new sidewalks, noting, among other improvements, the construction of a new roundabout at the junction of the current Lazareto.
These works represented an investment of 300,000 euros, of which 265,000 have been funded by the Ministry of the Presidency of the Autonomous Community.
On the other hand, it is expected that in the coming months, should commence the refurbishment of kilometers Boulevard belonging to the municipality of Cartagena.
