The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, along with the mayor of La Union, and the councilor Francisco Bernabé president of the Municipal District of Arganzuela (Madrid), María Dolores Navarro, today announced the Mining Park of La Union Center Slaughterhouse Madrid Contemporary Creation in the neighborhood of La Chopera of the Spanish capital.
During his speech, Marina Garcia stressed the support the autonomous region has been given to the town of La Union for the enhancement of the Park, as stated, "one of the most innovative resources and ambitious tour of Murcia."
He highlighted the extent of it, 50,000 square meters, its ability to create jobs and cultural attractions, historical and natural.
Similarly, the director general of Tourism described the project as "a benchmark in Europe" and stressed its quality, its strategic location near the sea, its ability to enhance the seasonal nature of the area and to disseminate the culture, tradition and assets of the Sierra Minera.
It also stated that the Directorate General of Tourism has made over the last three years, "a total investment of 728,565 euros, a sum that was allocated to road tuning of 33, the conditioning and musealization Mine Vicenta groups and the development of access to it. "
She recalled, "the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has provided a budget of 150,000 euros added to the launching of a tourist train."
Mineral Park has been an overall investment of around three and a half million euros, which have been paid between the municipalities of La Union and Cartagena, the Community, through the concerted action of four Departments, and the Government of Spain through the participation of two ministries.
