The 50 º Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas de La Union will this year with the presence of Paco de Lucía, Enrique Morente, Miguel Poveda and the National Ballet, as noted by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, in the presentation of festival held today at the Corral de la Moreria in Madrid, accompanied by the mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, and the deputy general manager of Music and Dance of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), Antonio Garde.
The festival takes place this year between 3 and 14 August in the Old Public Market in the town of La Unión (Murcia).
The first day will be dedicated to the mining town with the 'Day of The Union ", which will accommodate the official anthem of the Union and the festival, the traditional homage to the Miner and Miner's widow and the other evening Trovera performances.

Contest
