The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, the Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, and Regional President Caja Mediterráneo (CAM), Angel Martinez, presented the National Theatre Competition X "José Baeza Clemares."
The contest will run from 17 to 22 May in La Union.
Representations of the first five days, by groups in the region of Murcia and Madrid, will stage the Old Public Market.
The main novelty of the 2010 edition is the use of the auditorium Groups Vicenta Mine closure of X in the National Drama Contest "Jose Baeza Clemares."
In this exceptional setting, Manuel Galiana give a poetry reading with texts from the book "Sonatina air and wind," Luciano González Sarmiento.
The Mayor of La Unión, Bernabe Francisco, said that "the National Theatre Competition 'José Baeza Clemares' turn to La Union in the coming days in an excellent showcase of regional and national theater."
In addition, Barnabas has invited all poetry lovers to "enjoy a unique and unmatched as is the concert that Manuel Galiana offer on the auditorium stage Vicenta Groups Mine."
This theatrical event, which began in 2000, is dedicated to José Baeza Clemares (1857-1920), actor, stage director and impresario, a pioneer of drama in La Union.
The awards are divided into the following categories: best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, best actress, best principal and best group.
All shows will start from 22:00.
Admission is free until all seats.
