Within the program of events commemorating the 150 anniversary of the Union will be held the First Conference and Jura Naval Flag of the municipality's history, in collaboration with the Spanish Armada.
This was announced this morning the Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, and Colonel of the Marine Corps School of Cartagena, Carlos Julio Rey Vich, during a press conference that was held today at our City Hall, located at Pinion House.
The events begin the 28th and 29th January in the morning and afternoon, with the realization of a static display of Marine Forces in the Plaza Joaquín Costa, which will be displayed military vehicles and weapons, plus various logistical issues, by military professionals.
The day ended on Saturday 30th January with a ceremony of swearing of allegiance, to be held at the Municipal Sports Centre from 11.45 am.
The ceremony will be formal in nature and will be chaired by the Chief of Maritime Action Admiral, accompanied by all his staff.
In it you will enjoy the parade of troops, Tribute to the Fallen for Spain, official interpretation of hymns by the Military Band of Arsenal and the Tribute to the Flag.
All events are free and attendance is free to the public who want to come.
Similarly, the swearing of allegiance is open to all civilians who intend to swear Flag for the first time or renew their pledge.
To do so, just enough to be a Spanish citizen over 18 years and complete an instance that is available to everyone in the City of La Union and the municipal website (www.ayto-launion.com).
The Mayor concluded by inviting the unionenses to participate actively in such events because it is a historical fact that is the first time will happen in the century of life in La Union and will bring increased twinning between our town and the Spanish Armed Forces.
