The works for the remodeling of Calle Real and Plaza Castelar de La Union have already begun.

The project includes the resurfacing, in addition to improvements in road safety, urban aesthetics, proper design of intersections, surface drainage, road markings, vertical signs, landscaping and street furniture of the section under performance.

The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, said the importance of "carrying out this project that will comprehensively renovate one of the main streets of the city of La Union."

The deadline for execution of works is five months.

This action falls within the Municipal Investment Plan 2008-2010 that promotes the City of La Union.

The amount of works that have been awarded to Bituminous Asphalt, SA and Franco Miguel Conesa, is 696,000 euros.
