The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and the Director General of Local Government, Javier Iniesta, have made a visit to the city of La Union, where he had met with the Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, to address different aspects of local interest to the presentation of the draft semipeatonalización the city center, the official announcement of the conclusion of the act of the Day of the Region of Murcia in the Old Public Market, and the forthcoming launch of the new headquarters of the local police.

The Mayor of La Unión, Bernabe Francisco, said that "the urban center semipeatonalización generate a double benefit, as it will offer a more attractive image of the city, and stimulate commercial activity."

Barnabas has expressed his "gratitude and great excitement" to the designation of the Union as the headquarters of the Institutional Act of the Day of the Region of Murcia.

SEMIPEATONALIZACIÓN

The semipeatonalización from the center of La Union will result in the cobbled paving of all city streets, removing architectural barriers, as well as beautifying the environment through new street furniture, landscaping, sidewalks, underground airlines existing telecommunications, electricity and street lighting, among other actions.

The investment in the Autonomous Community semipeatonalización the project is estimated at 800,000 euros.

The time of execution of the work is eight months.

INSTITUTIONAL ACT OF DAY IN THE REGION OF MURCIA

The Old Public Market will host Union on 9 June, the act of the Day of the Region of Murcia.

NEW LOCAL POLICE HEADQUARTERS

The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, the Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and the Director General of Local Government, Javier Iniesta, visited the facilities of the future headquarters of the Local Police in La Union.

The new units of local police, equipped with greater breadth and functionality that the current, will be located on the ground floor of the El Progreso.

This building now houses the Justice of the Peace and Civil Registry and the Center for Adult Education, while on 26 this month, the Minister of Culture, Pedro Alberto Cruz, will open the new library to be located on the first floor thereof.

The Director General of Local Government, Javier Iniesta, said "the importance of providing the best means to the local police," recalling that "the headquarters to be inaugurated this year represents an investment of 183,000 €.
