Starts Sink rehabilitation Mine ore Paid (18/05/2009)

The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, and the Councillor for Tourism, Antonio Liarte, visited the start of construction for the rehabilitation of ore Laundry Paid Mine.

The ore Laundry Paid Mine, one of the attractions that will present future theme park of the Sierra Minera, was built in 1920 to address the existing tin ore in the mine pay and other mines in the area.

This is a great reference for ancient mineral Sinks Sierra Minera.

This Laundry, located in the hamlet of Road 33-Cuesta de las Lajas, technology was being used "Cornish", imported from the British tin mines, particularly in the area of Cornwall.

In the Laundry Paid Mine is the best representation of round-budless or "directions" that exists in Spain and probably in Europe.

For the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, "the rehabilitation and enhancement Sink Paid Mine will enjoy one of the main attractions of the Sierra Minera.

The works for rehabilitation of the Mine Paid Laundry have been awarded to the company Eals, an amount of 199,950 euros.

This action is part of the Municipal Investment Plan 2008-2010 of the City of La Union.
