Maria Duenas receives the Gold Castillete LV Festival del Cante de las Minas (10/08/2015)

The writer Maria Duenas, bestselling author and professor at the University of Murcia on leave, received this afternoon at the Casa del Pinon, from the mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez Milan, the Gold Castillete this edition of the Sing Mine this year is dedicated to the Region of Murcia.

Maria Duenas, born in Puerto Llano in 1964, but settled for decades in Cartagena, bursts in 2009 in the world of literature with the time between seams.

In his last story, whose protagonist is a mining, speaks of glories and defeats, silver mines, family intrigues, vineyards and wineries.

Shortly before delivery Castillete Gold musicologist Guillermo Castro Buendia, he presented in the auditorium of the Casa del Pinon, his book "Genesis of flamenco music" along with Rocio Navarro, editor of this publication.

The author has conducted a comprehensive study seeking the origins of flamenco music, their formation process, history and nature.
