The Festival del Cante de las Minas de Oro grants Castillete the matador Pepin Liria (07/08/2015)

The memory of the poet Maria Salcedo Cegarra has been present this afternoon at the Cultural Agenda del Cante de las Minas that have presented the book "Letters (1954-1989)" and "The shadow that accompanies me (1998-2007)", compendium of the correspondence unionense poet and Maria Teresa Cervantes, along with a collection of poems by the second.

Murcia matador Pepin Liria has received this afternoon the highest institutional prize of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas, the Castillete gold, whose delivery has taken place in the hall of the City of La Union.

The mayor of La Union and Executive Chairman of the Foundation Cante de las Minas, Pedro Lopez Milan, has given the bullfighter this award for his work in particular and as a tribute to bullfighting in general and its connection to flamenco.

After collecting his award, the bullfighter Cehegín took the opportunity to claim their profession, "because we are being very targeted, this is very important because it defends castillete greatest thing for me."

Liria mentioned in his speech to the late José María Manzanares and other bullfighters awarded the same distinction as Spartacus and Enrique Ponce.

Some two hundred people have gathered in the auditorium of the Casa del Piñón to attend the award ceremony.

Among those attending Murcia, Jose Antonio Camacho, he was a personal friend, and Sunday will receive another Golden Castillete.

Cultural Agenda Festival has completed today with the presentation of the book `Letters (1954-1986) 'Cegarra Maria Salcedo-Maria Teresa Cervantes' shadow that accompanies me (1998-2007)'.

The book contains the correspondence between the two poets, a relationship that goes beyond mentor and pupil, respect, admiration and sincere friendship.

It also includes a selection of poems by Maria Teresa with which pays tribute to her friend.

Maria Teresa Cervantes itself has joined today the author of this publication, Professor, University of Sevilla, Carmelo Vera Saura.

The writer and remembered his friend: "Mary Cegarra is in the mines, in his silence now, because sometimes silence is stronger than the voice."
