The Teatro Circo Murcia last night was the scene where the Association of Professional Radio and Television Murcia gave his "Silver Microphone 2014" International Festival del Cante de Las Minas, for their work for dissemination and promotion of flamenco and the Region of Murcia, according to the unanimous opinion of the components of the Jury met to decide the awards.

Also were graced with distinction Spain National Radio-Radio 5, cyclist Alejandro Valverde, swimmer Mireia Belmonte, tennis player Nicolas Almagro, and tourism corporation Soltour.

Our Deputy Mayor and Director of the International Festival del Cante de las Minas, Julio Garcia, who picked up the distinction, emphasized the great importance of this recognition because it comes from the communication professionals undoubtedly the most familiar with the huge and positive impact that our Competition Flamenco beyond our own borders, which certainly is a great pride and satisfaction for all unionenses in particular and for flamenco lovers in general.
