The Socialist Party demands an explanation from the Government's regional doubts about the onset of regeneration Portman (07/09/2014)

The head of the Environment PSRM, Enrique Ayuso, asked the counselor if Cerdá confirms reports in some media about the need for a new favorable Environmental Impact Study before any action on the Portman Bay news.

Enrique Ayuso recalled that before the summer this same question was asked, through Murcia deputy González Veracruz, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, and still has not gotten the answer, which now seems to be confirmed by this journalistic information.

The social responsibility said the Regeneration Project and Bay Environmental Adjustment approved in 2011, which was agreed with all authorities and neighbors and had authorized 80 million budget, itself had a favorable environmental study;

but, however, the project presented Aria Company, awarded the contract, it is very different from that, because it affects a greater number of discharges and intended treatment of them in the bay itself, and would probably need a new environmental assessment.

For Enrique Ayuso, many uncertainties that accumulate in the regeneration of the Bay and it is increasingly clear feeling that time is being lost by the incompetence of the regional government center.

"A few days ago, the company acknowledged that part of his business group was insolvent. Now, we can also find ourselves in a new break, if after three years still do not have the environmental report they need.'s Why the regional government it is required to undertake to give a start date of regeneration Portman, schedules of performances and the end date, "he concluded.
