The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed an investigation into several robberies committed in a set of facilities declared of Cultural Interest (BIC) in the Sierra Minera Portman, culminating with the arrest in flagrante of the alleged perpetrator.

He has also recovered all the stolen metal elements, which exceeds half a ton.

The performances are framed in the 'Plan for the defense of the Spanish Historical Heritage' put in place by the Civil Guard and has involved the implementation of specific service devices in order to increase the security of Spanish Historical Heritage and reduce criminal activity in this sector.

Agents Team ROCK (burglary in the field) Cartagena initiated research to detect, in a short space of time, committing several robberies in one of the old facilities of the Sierra Minera, specifically located in the laundry Roberto at Portman-La Union.

The Meritorious conducted extensive coach-ocular scene to collect all possible clues about the perpetrators of the theft, and established a specific inspection of discrete surveillance device to surprise the authors.

In one of these devices, the civil guards detected the driver of a car pulling a trailer had entered the facilities where they were committing robberies, so they agreed to the property and found that had begun plundering as it was loading in tow lot of metallic elements that are declared BIC, then effecting his arrest and remand in custody on suspicion of crimes against burglary and historical heritage.

During the arrest, the policemen of ROCA team seized several tools used by the now stopped and managed to recover all of the stolen effects, which are more than half a ton of metal parts which have been returned to the owner, avoiding thus irreparable damage to the save set.

As is clear from the research, the prisoner intended to market the stolen objects, declared of Cultural Interest in local metal waste management in exchange for a financial amount well below the actual value of the metal parts.

The Spanish prisoner, 43, resident of La Union and a criminal record for similar crimes, recovered effects and the proceedings have been brought before the Magistrate's Court in Cartagena (Murcia).
