This evening there has been a "Great Public Cajoneada" in homage to the great guitarist.
The tribute was also extended to the Peruvian percussionist and teacher Cajon Rafael Santa Cruz, whose sudden death last August 4 prevented him from participating, as planned, at the International Festival del Cante de las Minas.
The Avenida del Flamenco La Union is filled with pace this afternoon with the "Great Public Cajoneada" after the unforgettable guitarist Paco de Lucía, who participated in the percussionists Guillermo García "El Guille", Antonio Enrique Fernández "Wito" and Miguel Angel Orengo, guitarists Rosendo Fernandez, Antonio Muñoz, Juan Martinez and Francisco Tornero, flutist Oscar Manuel, and David "El Indio" the bongos.
The tribute consisted of a "lecture" to which were added twenty fans drawer, where "El Guille" has been explained to attendees how to follow the flamenco rhythm.
To pay tribute to the great Spanish guitarist, the International Festival del Cante de las Minas decided to conduct activities around the drawer, as Paco de Lucía was the introducer of this instrument in flamenco.
The initial idea was that the master of the Peruvian Cajon Rafael Santa Cruz visitase La Union to teach a couple of courses and starring in Gran Cajoneada today, but his sudden death days before the Festival will initiate prompted the tribute was also broadened to her figure.
This activity has involved the brother of Rafael Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Octavio, who has decided not to suspend the trip and has been in our city during these days.
To end the Cajoneada, all participants have played the famous song "Entre dos aguas" Paco de Lucía.
