Closed training courses International Festival del Cante de las Minas (15/08/2014)

In all three cycles, the "First Seminar for Melodic Instruments Flamenco", the "Course History of Flamenco" and "Course Introduction and Advanced Techniques Drawer", 35 students participated, from the Region of Murcia and various Communities Spanish autonomous.

This afternoon have been closed, with the presentation of certificates to participating students, the three training courses organized within the 54th International Festival del Cante de las Minas de La Unión.

In particular, we have carried out: the "First Seminar for Melodic Instruments Flamenco", by musician, composer and "Philo" Festival, Oscar Manuel Award;

the course "History of Flamenco" by journalist Juan Vergillos and flamenco;

and "Course Introduction and Advanced Techniques Drawer" directed by percussionist Guillermo García.

All have resulted in a successful call, and that have had 35 enrolled mostly from the Murcia region, but also from other Spanish provinces, such as Alicante, Madrid, Granada, Valencia, and even two Japanese students.

In the case of "I Flamenco Workshop for Melodic Instruments" before the closing has taken place a fantastic display, in which the 13 participating students, accompanied by guitarist Juan de Vilar and flamenco Cajon by Antonio Fernandez "Wito" and directed by the teacher, Oscar Manuel, have played three pieces: tangos, tanguillos of Cadiz and a melodic bulería.

Attendees were surprised by the high quality of the interpretation and the possibilities flamenco to classical instruments.

Thus, the Spanish flamenco cajón and guitar have sounded in unison with violin, cello, saxophone, trombone, french horn, flutes and oboe.

Responsible for delivering the diplomas have been the Mayor of La Union and President of the Foundation Cante de las Minas, Francisco Bernabé, coordinator Flamencology, Juan Alfonso Garcia and the respective teachers of each course.

In his address to the audience, Francisco Bernabé thanked the trust placed in the Foundation all students, and announced that the teaching will continue next November with a new edition of the "International Research Conference Flamenco".
