The General Coordinator of the Foundation Cante de las Minas, Manuel Navarro, this morning the cycle dedicated to director Fernando Trueba in "Mornings Film Flamenco" which began with the screening of his film "The Dance of Victory" .
It is an adaptation of the novel, winner of the Planeta Prize, Antonio Skámeta.
This story of love, friendship and revenge unfolds in the time of the establishment of democracy in Chile.
Angel Santiago, played by Abel Ayala, is a young dreamer and brave he decides to take revenge for abuses suffered in prison: an ambitious plan in collaboration theft of a famous bank robber Nicolás Vergara Grey, played by Ricardo Darin, but the plan complicated by the magical presence of Victoria, Miranda Bodenhofer a mysterious teen whose only way to express yourself is dancing.
The purpose of these "Mornings Film Flamenco" is to provide movie lovers, music, art of flamenco, and culture in general some of the best works of Fernando Trueba.
The director has also produced several albums of great impact in the world of young flamenco, as "Lagrimas Negras," Bebo Valdes and Diego el Cigala.
The cycle includes two other projections in the Hall of the Hon.
City of La Union.
Tomorrow Thursday will see "Chico & Rita," the animated film by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal in which he appears as a character Estrella Morente, and Friday will be the turn of "The Girl of Your Dreams," a film also filled with music and starring Penelope Cruz.
All screenings begin at 12:00 noon.
