The City of La Union has organized for tomorrow, Saturday, March 8, a day of environmental volunteering in order to carry out the cleaning area of ​​El Chorrillo, authentic green lung of our town.
The initiative, which is to be performed for the seventh consecutive year, is driven by the need to maintain good hygiene and this emblematic presence and all this given that it is a privately owned and therefore , municipal cleaning services can not develop their work in such places.
Anyone interested in taking part in the activity can go at 10 am in the morning in front of the Old Public Market, from where you walk to march Chorrillo.
Once there, the useful and necessary tools will be provided by Civil Defence to conduct cleaning duties in the best possible conditions.
When you are finished, all participants can enjoy a good harmony of snacks and refreshments.
Our mayor, Francisco Bernabé, calls for attending all citizens who wish to lend a hand, recalling in this regard that the preservation of the environment is everyone's business, although some seem to forget the duty of collecting the waste they generate, checks as unfortunately year after year on the occasion of carrying out these actions Cleaning Chorrillo and around.
They have already confirmed their attendance, and many individuals, the following associations of our town: Scout Group Our Lady of Sorrows, Civil Protection, Red Cross, Federation of Peñas festive "El Palenque" Dance Association "Teresa Worry" Knights of Santa Barbara and New Generations.
