Fell silent guitar maestro Paco de Lucía (27/02/2014)

Paco de Lucia has just died.

Irreparable loss not only for lovers of guitar or flamenco, but music in general |

Paco met late sixties who impressed Shrimp with over ten albums, constitute one of the most important artistic couples of the twentieth century.

These two geniuses were turned upside down to view, hear and interpret flamenco before.

In traditional sticks infiltrate new rhythms and harmonies, revolutionizing the way to accompany flamenco guitar, and attracting thousands of young people to the duende of flamenco.

Pioneer fusion of flamenco with other genres such as jazz, blues, pop, bossa nova and salsa, superb work of decades of study, research, composition and performance with the guitar, prolific work label-thirties-discs, creating a very personal and unsurpassed style ..... more than amply justified by the numerous awards and recognitions received, among which is, of course, the Golden Castillete International Festival del Cante de las Minas, the highest distinction awarded our contest.

No exaggeration to say that everything that can be expressed with the six strings of the guitar Paco has done, in addition to their ability to transcend borders and styles to get to become a universal musician, merits that come to place him as the most innovative Flamenco artist and influential in history.

Gone, but stays in the background, it leaves us a great legacy: his recordings, his recitals and especially for us, his last two performances at La Union in 2005 and 2010, which gave the public his art, and for which the qualifiers are just as amazing, magnificent, grand, master, authentic, stunning, extraordinary, exciting, terrific, wonderful, amazing, extraordinary, .... That were the last two evenings of the Festival Paco Las Minas.

You can not return in 2015, as was our intention, but the Union is responsible for preserving his name until eternity.

On behalf of all the people and institutions that make up the Foundation Cante de las Minas, and ultimately that of all the people of La Union, our deepest sympathy for such an irreparable loss.

Rest in Peace myth.

Be welcome his legend.
