As has become traditional over the years, the Council has convened an Environmental Volunteer Day to perform cleaning Spot The Chorrillo, which will take place on Saturday 8th March.
The outlet concentration will take place at 10.00 in the Plaza Joaquín Costa, opposite the Old Public Market, where participants will travel on foot to the green lung of our town.
Once in El Chorrillo, will be distributed the supplies and tools necessary to carry out the cleaning action.
They have already confirmed their active participation in this conference the following organizations: Scouts Group Our Lady of Sorrows, Civil Protection, Red Cross, Federation of Peñas festive "El Palenque" Dance Association "Teresa Eagerness" Knights of Santa Barbara and New Generations.
However, we reiterate that this is an open call and are invited to take part in the same all citizens and local entities wishing to collaborate.
Our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, recalled that Chorrillo is a place of private ownership, why the municipal cleaning services can not do their work on it, this being the reason why we should be the citizens who so voluntary, unpaid back to work, once again, in the maintenance and cleaning of this special place for unionenses.
Also, our first mayor pointed out that the respect and preservation of the environment should be everyone's business, calling for awareness and civic sense of all visitors to this space to keep it always clean, removing at all times garbage and waste that may be generated.
