Presented the Tradefair Minerals and Fossils of the Union (18/03/2013)

The headquarters of the Ministry of Universities and Research Company, has been the scenario that has been presenting Tradefair Minerals and Fossils of the Union and its poster, in a ceremony attended by the Director and Spokesman Regional Government, José Ballesta, Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, and the President of the Federation of Associations of Entrepreneurs and Professionals Union, Mariano Miranda.

The event will be held on 28, 29 and 30 March 2013, Thursday, Friday and Holy Saturday, the hours of 10:00 to 14:00 h.

and from 15:00 to 21:00 h.

The venue will be, as in previous editions, the Old Public Market building in the city of La Union.

In this edition will feature 47 exhibitors and over 150 linear meters of exhibition occupied.

The organizer of the Fair of Minerals and Fossils, which is among the top 3 in terms of relevance fairs National is the Federation of Business and Professional Union, together with HE.

Borough Council, in addition to giving the iconic "Public Market" to host the exhibition, works closely with the aforementioned Federation to carry out the celebration of this event.

Besides the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, which also directly supports the realization of the event.

The origin of the exhibitors is varied, participants come from many parts of Spain: Murcia, Guipuzcoa, Barcelona, ​​León, Madrid, Alicante, Segovia, Navarra, Valencia, Girona, Toledo and Almeria, and even peddlers of Portugal, which makes supply of minerals, meteorites and fossils offered is the most heterogeneous and very high quality.

In addition to the meters for exhibitors, an exhibition is dsipone, each year different, very curious elements and themes related to the Fair.

In this seventeenth edition will expose several reproductions of dinosaurs.

These replicas allow us to understand the evolution of carnivorous dinosaurs over time and see how a group of them survived, and are made following strict scientific criteria and are reliable in full original dinosaurs in shape, color and anatomical position.

The prints to be exhibited are as listed below:

- Replica of a Herrerasaurus Ischigualastensis.

It measures 2 ½ meters long and 1 meter 50 tall.

The original lived during the Triassic period 230 million years ago in what is now South America.

It's a very interesting dinosaur and there are very few replicas in the world.

The importance of this dinosaur is its antiquity as one of the first known and led to the carnivorous type dinosaur that lived in the Jurassic and the Cretaceous.

-Replica mongolensis two velociraptors.

They measure 1.5 meters long.

Each dinosaur is mounted in a different position to give an idea of ​​the behavior of the animals.

The original is from Mongolia and lived 75 million years ago.

This dinosaur was released by the Jurassic Park film series, as despite their small size, are described as very skilled and fast dinosaurs, hunters flock of great intelligence.

Now we know that the Velociraptor was feathered, that although he had no use for flying if he was allowed to run faster and protect against low temperatures.

As in previous years during the Opening Ceremony Tribute to proceed to mining, which annually falls on a person who has worked in mining in the Sierra Cartagena-La Union, which gives him various commemorative plaques by the Trade Fair, the Hon.

This time, the distinction is going to give Juan Perez, who was a miner for more than thirty years, working on several farms in the Sierra, and now has 88 years of age.
