The halls of the Villa Mayor welcomed Saturday evening the annual dinner of the Brotherhood of Christ of Miners, which was attended by about two hundred brethren unionenses.

The event was attended by the Big Brother of the Brotherhood, Sunday Alajarín, the Pastor and Antonio Jose Carbonero our mayor, Francisco Bernabé, who was accompanied by several town government team representing the City.

Also attended the presidents of the seven clusters and components of their boards.

After dinner, we proceeded to the appointment of distinguished brethren from each of the groups, awards that fell on this occasion in the following: Grouping of Christ of the miners, Antonio Miguel Pérez Manrubia, Grouping of Nazareth, Mary's Carmen Saura, Association de la Soledad, Maria del Mar Heredia, Grouping of Sorrows, Mary Dolores Guerrero, Association of Charity, to Mariano Miranda, Grouping of Magdalena, Matilde Gomez and the Band of San Juan Evangelista to Ventura Valero and Maria del Carmen Hernandez.

For its part, the Brotherhood appointed as Honorary Guild Clerk Miguel Carrión.

Then the young artist Mar Hernandez, daughter of our beloved countryman Francisco Hernández Cop painter, discovered the extraordinary paintings he has done to become the poster for this Easter and played on a canvas a beautiful image of the Virgin Dolorosa on his throne.

Our Brother, Alajarín Sunday, urged by his words to everyone to live intensely and fervently Christian this coming Holy Week, at the same time announced several new features, including a change in one part of the route to make it more attractive and achieve greater brightness enhancement and the processions of La Union.

He closed the act Francisco Bernabé, who on the occasion of the centenary of the Christ of the miners that we celebrate in this year 2013, ahead of the imminent opening presents in March building that will house the Museum of Holy Week and the new Mining official headquarters of the Brotherhood and their groupings.

He also confirmed the full support of the magnificent city work done the Brotherhood and their groupings, ending with the delivery of municipal grant which the City works every year for the success of the religious ceremonies scheduled.
