Socialist councilors contribute their December salaries to NGOs Township (20/12/2012)

The amount of revenue that the Socialist councilors perceive the City has invested in buying in supermarkets in the town of more than 1,300 liters of milk and other perishable food products.

Every Socialist councilor has invested the income they earned this December City Council (260 euros), to acquire food in supermarkets in the town, who have been delivered from the municipality NGOs engaged in food distribution to families neediest.

Most of the food have been distributed to Red Cross and Caritas.

Through this initiative, the Socialist councilors have sent more than 1,500 liters of milk and other non-perishable food items for distribution to needy individuals and families in the locality.

The Socialist Municipal spokesperson, Mariano Oliver, said that "We know the difficulties that many families are going through the town. Everyone neighbors, friends or family are having really bad. Least we can do is show the Socialists solidarity with them, and help to mitigate as far as possible, a situation that affects many people. "

Oliver recalled that "the unemployment rate in the EU is huge. During the month of November, unemployment rose by almost 150 people in our town, surpassing the 3,200 unemployed.
