The municipalities of La Union and Cartagena, through their civil protection services, have made this morning on the beach The Ballast, at Portman, a Maritime Rescue joint exercise in which we have simulated the rescue of the crew a boat on fire.
In the test, which demonstrated high level of qualifications of professionals who ensure the safety of our beaches and coasts, involving a total of 26 staff and material means the following: two jet skis with rescue stretchers, a boat semi-rigid, fire truck, a quad, two ATVs and a Red Cross ambulance.
Our mayor, Francisco Bernabé, congratulated the members of Civil Protection for the excellent work being carried out in the town throughout the year, and in particular, for the great service they are providing for the summer, giving bathers tranquility of our coasts through the three points at Portman urged vigilance.
A total of 18 people, including EMTs, lifeguards and boaters provide their services this summer in the town of La Union.
