Hundreds of people have visited this afternoon the presentation of the poster at the LII Festival del Cante de las Minas, which took place in the courtyard of the municipalities of the Regional Assembly of Murcia.
In this edition, the work has been performed by the renowned painter and sculptor Luis Gordillo, undoubtedly one of the most important and respected Spanish artists.
Gordillo, who has come in person to the filing, has been recognized, among other awards, distinctions as important as the Velazquez Prize, the National Arts Award and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts.
The ceremony was presided by the President of the Regional Assembly, Francisco Celdran, our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, the author of the work, Luis Gordillo, also attended by among other authorities the Director General of Tourism, enrique Ujaldón, the Rector of the UPCT, Jose Antonio Franco, Regional Representatives and members of the Municipal Corporation of the City of La Union.
Attendees enjoyed a flamenco recital on behalf of the young singer Celia Romero, 2011 Mining Lamp Cante de las Minas, who was accompanied on guitar by Antonio Muñoz Fernández, Bordon Minero 1989 and the Festival's official guitarist.
