New proposals from the local tourist board and trade (05/01/2012)

The Local Board of Tourism and Trade Union met recently to discuss the development of tourist and business sectors over the past year and to make new choices that are open to the municipality before the development of large projects as the Mining Park and the regeneration of Portman Bay.

As far as the mining park, has agreed to initiate a joint effort between local technicians and representatives of retailers and restaurateurs to capture during the first quarter of 2012 a specific battery of measures that help make our city as attractive as possible for the thousands of visitors who visit the complex brings together Mina Vicenta.

In regard to Portman, by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, has asked all the components of the Bureau to submit proposals aimed at setting the best possible scenario for the Bay tourism and environment, it is now when is going to start designing the future development of the area.

The Local Board of Tourism and Commerce is comprised of the City of La Union, the three political parties represented in the Municipal Council (PP, PSOE, IU), by the unions (UGT and CCOO), by the Federation of Association Entrepreneurs, Professionals and Traders Union (FAEPU), the Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena, on the Employment and Training Service (SEF) in the Region of Murcia and various associations working with the social fabric of the municipality.
