Diego el Cigala closes the trappings of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas (08/08/2011)

Diego el Cigala unionense returns to the stage after his participation in June of this year's Gala Solidaria Lorca organized the Festival del Cante de las Minas.

Following their approach to different world music as jazz, bolero, tango or Cuban music, the singer from Madrid back to its origins.

El Cigala will review parts of the flamenco tradition with his characteristic musical intent.

Ramón Jiménez Salazar was born in December 1968 in Madrid.

With just twelve, won first prize in the Young Flamenco Contest of Getafe and a prize in the contest TVE "Young People".

It was consolidated in 1997 as an artist and began his solo career with the album "Undebel."

In 2000, he released his second album "Between Vareta and Canasta."

A year after launching "They run Times of Joy", with the collaboration of some of the Latin jazz musicians who had participated in Trueba's film "Calle 54".

The album was nominated for a Latin Grammy for best flamenco album of the year.
