The Minister of Universities, Business and Research, José Ballesta, La Union Mayor Francisco Barnabas, and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Murcia, Fernando Martin inaugurated this morning the II International Congress of Miners Flamenco on the edges.
The event, organized by the Foundation Cante de las Minas and the University of Mar de la Universidad de Murcia, will bring together for 3 days in our town several of the most renowned flamenco in Spain, as D.
José Manuel Gamboa, D.
Norberto Torres, D.
Mrs. Gen. Antonio Parra Garcia, among other distinguished speakers.
The academic direction of the course is assigned to D.
José Francisco Ortega and D.
Manuel Navarro.
The sessions were conducted in the morning and afternoon, and will have its headquarters in the Auditorium of the Casa del Pinon, although there are planned visits to the Old Public Market (Cathedral of Cante) and Mina Vicenta Groups in Mining Park of La Union.
Also scheduled screening of several documentaries and as a highlight of the Congress, the actions of Contreras Sebastian "Bastian" on vocals and guitar Juan Martinez (Thursday July 21), Antonio Ayala "The Ramp" singing, and Juan Martinez on guitar (Friday July 22) and Encarnación Fernández singing, accompanied on guitar by Antonio Munoz (Saturday July 23).
The closure will be done by next Saturday the Hon.
