This morning we have been presented at the Salon de Grados of the Faculty of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, the two university summer courses sponsored by the Foundation on Cante de las Minas Flamenco and to be held in La Union this coming month July.

The organization of the same, which develops in the area of ​​Mare Nostrum Campus Excellence, borne by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, with regard to "Flamenco Dance Workshops, Mine and Spanish Dance," and the University Sea International University of Murcia, which makes the "II International Congress Cantes Flamenco Miners."

The first course will run from 8 to 10 July, while the second will take place between 21 and 23 July.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, Vice Chancellor for Students and University Extension UPCT, Francisco Martinez, Director of Courses at the Universidad Internacional de Mar, Manuela Lopez.

Our mayor has highlighted the great leap in quality that is experiencing in general and Flamenco Cante de las Minas in particular, as evidenced by the fact that the two public universities in the region of Murcia summer courses made specifically for this area which undoubtedly contributes to the prestige as possible to our songs and mining culture.

Also, by our mayor has announced that tomorrow, Friday July 1, at 21.00, the Old Public Market The Union will host the Gala Senior Year 1st Promotion of the School of Art Flamenco Cante de las Mines.

In the same act as the most outstanding students of this first course, as teachers who teach in the center, among them singers Encarnación Fernández (2 miner's lamp), Antonio Ayala "The Ramp" (1 Mining Lamp ) and Contreras Sebastian "Bastian", guitarist Rosendo Fernandez, who is a guitarist's official International Festival of Cante de las Minas, and percussionist Miguel Angel Orengo.

Admission will be free for all attendees, who can possibly see in action for future contestants of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas.
