On Saturday 11 June, the Assembly Hall of the House of Pinon, hosted the inauguration ceremony of the new Municipal Corporation to govern the destinies of the municipality until 2015, comprised of 11 councilors of the PP, PSOE 5 and 1 IU.

Also, he was again elected mayor for the second consecutive time, Francisco Bernabé, who received symbolically the baton from his father, who was a councilor for the UCD in the first democratic municipal council of La Union, which emerged from the polls elections of 1979.

During his inaugural speech, Barnabas called for unity of the 3 political parties to work together for the future of La Union, Portman and Roche, especially only for reducing unemployment drama that plagues our town.

More than 300 residents filled to overflowing municipal offices during the ceremony, standing and cheering for a long time the proclamation and the words of our mayor.
