The Director General Transport and Ports of the Region of Murcia, Carmen Sandoval, visited La Union to monitor, along with its mayor, Francisco Bernabé, the placement of six new electronic information screens to be placed next to the main bus stop location.
The tour comes after the City Council awarded by tender for the installation of these displays, an initiative that aims to provide information on various services to all users of this mode of transport, and whose operation is expected to April.
These screens, distributed among the Calle Mayor (3), Real (2) and Murcia (1), not only give you information about routes and schedules of bus lines, but also other relevant information related to the weather forecast and the various activities taking place in the municipality unionense.
The mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, stressed the importance of such infrastructure, since "not only will allow a significant modernization and, consequently, a higher quality of road passenger transport, but also will improve information services about what is happening in the city, adding to itself a remarkable aesthetic improvement to bus stops. "
Work on the placement of these electronic displays have had a budget of 110,000 euros fully funded by the Directorate General of Transport of the region.
Subsequently, Sandoval and Barnabas have moved to the hamlet unionense Portman, where they held a meeting with the Board of the local yacht club which has addressed the processing status of the new marina and fishing port that will run the Community there, a move that would follow the regeneration of the Bay, scheduled to begin in 2012.
