The Flemish art school in La Union last part of the syllabus (26/10/2010)

The Union, October 26, 2010.

Pinion House, now home of the City of La Union, has been hosting a workshop whose aim was to develop curricula that offer Flamenco Art School, a center soon to open its doors in the town and will be officially presented next November.

The meeting was attended by the mayor of La Union and director of the Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas, Francisco Bernabé, the coordinator of the Festival, Manuel Navarro, the director of the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Murcia, Maria Teresa Souán, the director of the Conservatory Professional Music Cartagena, M ª Angeles Bres and the head of the Guitar Department at the center, Susana Alfonso, and Professor of the Chair of flamenco guitar at the Conservatory of the Region of Murcia, Carlos Piñana.

The three institutions represented at this meeting exercise of patronage and control work on various academic levels of study that offer Flamenco Art School, which will be official place of preparation to enter the Conservatory of Music and Dance of the Region Murcia.

The school, whose headquarters is planned for the new facilities and halls of Building Area Youth Union, will offer formal education in singing, dancing, flamenco guitar and percussion as well as specialization courses will be taught by recognized professionals in the arts realm of flamenco.

The registration period for classes at the School of Flamenco Art will open to interested parties during the month of December, while the number of regulated education will be taught during this academic year from January to June 2011.
