The municipality of La Union today officially opened the extensions of public schools and Ginés Herrerías Cabezos Gomariz, the latter in the hamlet unionense Roche, whose budget was of 610,000 and 290,000 euros respectively.
This event was chaired by the Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, who was accompanied by the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, and the Director General of the Autonomous Community Centers, María José Jiménez.
The new Children's Pavilion and Herrerías Public Primary School is located on the premises of the school, occupying part of the patio.
The new building has two floors (ground and first), has a total of 6 classrooms and an area close to 500 square meters.
For its part, works for the expansion of the Public School Cabezos Gomariz Ginés, Roche, have involved the construction of a new school building next to the current housing four kindergarten classrooms.
The new building, which has more than 216 m2, also has two bathrooms (shared by two classrooms each), a shared bath (adapted for the disabled), a staff room, a utility room, and a new playground which occupies more than 185 m2.
The work in these centers are the last two actions executed in La Union, so far, in collaboration with the Autonomous Community, although according to Francisco Bernabé said, "there are still almost five billion euros to invest in education in the municipality for the coming months. "
Some of these actions involve, for example, construction of new school Alfonso X the Wise, the sports halls at two schools, or the new center in the area of Industrial Park "What Bolarín."
