The councilors of the Popular Party visited La Residencia "Cristo de los Mineros" of La Unión, in order to be interested in the functioning of the residence and the evolution in its facilities, to remember that the implementation of the center was approved by the governing board Of the City council of the Union governing then the popular party and that they have been invested so far by Fundación Diagrama four million euros.
This center offers comprehensive care to the basic personal, therapeutic and sociocultural needs of people with chronic mental illness, affected by different degrees of dependency, promoting their autonomy.
The Diagrama Foundation works in the specialized care, support and rehabilitation of these people, promoting their psychological and social integration, as well as providing invaluable assistance to the families of those affected.
The center has the capacity to attend a hundred patients, through private and concerted places for public use, ten of them private and the rest arranged with the Family Council of Equal Opportunities of the Autonomous Community of the region of Murcia, through Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS).
At present it has sixty occupied places, and has been requested to cover thirty more, which is expected to occur during this year, with an annual endowment of 1,156,000 euros and generates fifty direct jobs and Indirect.
The attention to people with disabilities is one of the priorities of the Regional Government of the Popular Party, a party that continues to bet on the people and making their policies a reality.
