The Festival del Cante de las Minas de La Union and Andalusia, joined by flamenco (03/06/2016)

The Executive President of the Foundation Cante de las Minas Milan- Pedro Lopez, the Director of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco -María Angeles Carrasco, the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Andalusian -Dª Marta Alonso Lappi- and Deputy Culture Hon.

Council of Seville Rocío -Dª Domingo Sutil have carried out the presentation of the 56th edition of the festival unionense at the headquarters of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco in Seville, which has made public the name of the town crier this year -Blanca del Rey, dancer and owner of the legendary tablao flamenco "Corral de la Moreria" (Festival headquarters in the capital of Spain) and where has presented the cultural agenda and have revealed the names of the winners and laureates.

Andalusia has always been present through its institutions in the editions of the Festival over the years, but for a while these relationships disappeared, but that this year we again take up what should never lose, because our songs they have their origin in those Andalusians who came to La Union to work towards a better future.

For this reason, the highest distinction awarded by the Festival - the gold- Castillete is for the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco.

Institution that is born and is created from the Junta de Andalucía, to carry out the important work of preserving and recovering flamenco as a sign of their own cultural identity and which is responsible for spread to the entire planet.

Gold will also be Castillete this year, the matador, Luis Francisco Esplá and Cajamurcia Foundation, which has been collaborating with the Festival for over twenty years.

The Catedral del Cante Award, given to Germany as a country of Flemish art diffuser and the uniqueness that this year's poster is the work of German painter Erwin Bechtold, who has already done previously in 1992.

On the other hand, Carburo Gold Awards, which recognize the work done in favor of the Festival del Cante de las Minas, were awarded to José Vidal, unionense committed to the culture of our city and the flamenco singer Jose Merce, one of the best exponents of flamenco.

As for the Trovero Marin award, dedicated to the best work of dissemination of art trovo, it has been awarded to Contest trovos saw Mina Almagrera and Red The Alpargatero award, which recognizes the work done by the rocks in broadcast flamenco, it is for cultural Peña of Ayamonte, on the exceptional work done for that purpose.

a photographic exhibition of Francisco José Sánchez Montalban, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada, called "Seres Duende", which includes portraits and Granada flamenco singer Juan Pinilla performance, within the Mina Groups Vicenta.

Galas, whose locations are on sale from Wednesday June 1 at El Corte English and www.elcorteingles.es, will begin on Friday, August 5 with performances by Manuel Cuevas and El Cabrero;

Saturday August 6 will premiere in La Union flamenco musical "Eternal Shrimp";

Sunday August 7 flamenco gala meet Jose Enrique Morente and Pitingo;

Monday August 7 Chico and Farruquito Rancapino appointment will be given;

and the last gala (prior to the semifinals of the competition) will be held on Tuesday, August 9 and will bring to the stage unionense Antonio Reyes and Jose Merce.

The event was attended by artists Manuel Cuevas, Rancapino Chico, Pedro "El Granaino" and Maria Jose Perez Lamp Minera 2015- -prize who has offered a recital master;

among the winners they were attended by representatives of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco and Alexis Diaz -President and trovos Contest organizer Sierra Almagrera (Almería) - awarded the prize "Marin Trivero".

Also they attended by representatives of the government team in the city of La Union as well as other personalities from the world of politics and culture.
