The Councilor for Health, Ana María Rodríguez Angosto, the Councilor for Finance, Elena J. Lozano Bleda and the Pedáneos de Portmán and Roche, Buenaventura Lozano and Ginés Luengo, held a working meeting with the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas in which they transferred all the needs that our municipality has in health matters.
Specifically, for the district of Portmán, the extension of the emergency service was requested 24 hours a day, including Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year, and not only during the summer season.
In addition, the increase in the number of days and hours in the Pediatric Service was also requested.
As for the Roche District, improvements in patient care were requested, increasing the number of hours and the possibility of having a pharmacy, as well as creating an emergency service.
Another of the outstanding issues that were discussed at the meeting was that of heavy metals related to mining in the Municipality of La Unión.
