The Festival del Cante de las Minas will this year with the performance of Paco de Lucía, Enrique Morente, Miguel Poveda and the National Ballet (20/05/2010)

The 50 º Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas de La Union will this year with the presence of Paco de Lucía, Enrique Morente, Miguel Poveda and the National Ballet, as noted by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, in the presentation of festival held today at the Corral de la Moreria in Madrid, accompanied by the mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, and the deputy general manager of Music and Dance of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), Antonio Garde.

The festival takes place this year between 3 and 14 August in the Old Public Market in the town of La Unión (Murcia).

The first day will be dedicated to the mining town with the 'Day of The Union ", which will accommodate the official anthem of the Union and the festival, the traditional homage to the Miner and Miner's widow and the other evening Trovera performances.

A day later, when the time of the opening, which this year is payable by the president of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel.

The evening will close with performances by the winners of the trophies 'Mining Lamp', Rafael Carlos 'Churumbaque son', 'Bordon Mining', José Andrés Cortés, 'The Desplante', Ana Morales and 'Philo', Borja Evora of last year's competition.

On August 5, Old Public Market will host the gala opening of flamenco with the performance of National Ballet, directed by José Antonio.

Contest
